Our Senior Pastor

Pastor Jeremy Carver was blessed to be raised in a Christian home. At the age of 13 his father, Rev. Terry Carver, planted a church in Boone, North Carolina. It was there that he was baptized, received the Holy Ghost, and subsequently was called into the ministry. He served under his father as church musician, Sunday School teacher, and youth director.

In 1999 he married his longtime friend, Salissa Poland, a wonderful young lady who grew up in a very musical family. Together they would assist the church in Boone for the next 2 years. In 2001 they began traveling full-time as evangelists, and continued in this ministry for over 3 years.

In January of 2004, they celebrated the birth of their first daughter, Kelsey Alexis. In September of that same year, Pastor Carver was asked to serve as Interim Pastor of New Life Apostolic Church (now The Sanctuary). He continued in that role until being elected pastor in April 2005. Then, in September of 2007, the Carvers welcomed their second daughter, Kaylee Alyson.

The Carvers continue to lead The Sanctuary, assisted by a wonderful team of leaders and volunteers. They feel abundantly blessed to lead such a dynamic, vibrant church in one of the most beautiful parts of Tennessee.

Pastor Carver is an ordained minister of the United Pentecostal Church International, and currently serves as Presbyter of Section 1 of the Tennessee District (UPCI).
